The show explores the origins of Vought in the 1950s, will be led by returning stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.

During the Emmy-winning series The Boys San Diego Comic- Con panel, it was announced that franchise will expand to include Vought Rising, a prequel to The Boys, starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. The exciting news was revealed when Ackles surprised the SDCC audience by coming on stage and tossing to a video from Cash. Past spinoffs from the world of The Boys include Gen V and The Boys Presents: Diabolical, both streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Executive producer Eric Kripke and series showrunner and executive producer Paul Grellong shared, “We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys. It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

Cash and Ackles also serve as producers alongside showrunner Grellong. Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr also executive produce. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.
