Netflix fans were left fuming after three episodes of a hit show were uploaded to the streaming giant without sound.
The gaffe from the streamer confused viewers, who took to social media to complain they thought they were going mad before Netflix started to rectify the error.
Hit show Outer Banks released its explosive final batch of episodes of the penultimate season of the show and much to the dismay of eager fans, they were unable to watch them properly.
A slew of episodes from the show appeared to have difficulties from the outset, as only Netflix’s iconic ‘tudum’ sound played.
After that, viewers noticed that episodes eight to ten were completely silent but for other users, the issue effected the whole series.

Taking to Reddit, one viewer said: ‘Episodes 8, 9, and 10 have major audio issues. After the Netflix “da dum” at the beginning of the episode, there is a second one, and that is followed by there being no audio on the actual show.’
They added that they had tried to turn their TV on and off again but to no avail.
Others took to X to ask if anyone else was having the same issue, while some demanded that Netflix fixed the issue as a priority.
They wrote: ‘Has anyone else got this issue? No audio for the first 5 minutes, then audio doesn’t match scenes?’ ;
‘Bro fix the audio in outerbanks season 4 ep 8’ ;
‘Is anyone else’s netflix not playing sound for outerbanks after episode 8 of the new season?’;
‘Netflix. I am not paying you this much just for your shows to have audio issues. FIX OUTERBANKS S4E9 NOWWWW’;
‘Do me a favor Netflix, I’m not paying money for you to have audio issues with your episodes. Outerbanks season 4 episode 10 : the audio is not synced to the scenes and it’s been over 24 hours. I’ve logged out, tried multiples devices, restarted the ep.’;

‘The way Netflix has a talent to completely destroy the few good shows they have cause wtf was this season of #outerbanks ??’.
The difficulties with the latest season of the hit show come after Netflix announced the teen drama has been renewed for fifth and final season at the streamer.
A newsletter called Dispatch to all Pogues was shared by creators and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke on Monday, revealing the update.
In their statement the trio shared that they got the idea to write the series when they came across a snapshot of teenagers ‘on a beach at dusk during a power outage’ in 2017.
Another part of the note read: ‘Now, with a little sadness, but also excitement, we’re putting Season Four behind us, and are turning to Season Five, in which we hope to bring our beloved Pogues home in the way we imagined and planned years ago.’
The writing continued, ‘The fourth season was our longest and hardest – but most rewarding – to produce.
‘The season ends with a feature length episode, which we think is our best, most powerful episode. We hope you feel the same way.’
Elsewhere, the thoughtful message continued, ‘Season Five will be our last season, and we think it will be our best yet. We hope you’ll join us for one more paddle out to the surf break.’
Outer Banks kicked the rom-com series Nobody Wants This out of the top Netflix spot when season four premiered on October 10.
It has remained on the Top 10 chart since then, and the show has spent 27 weeks on the chart since its 2020 debut.
