The YouTuber has released a statement following allegations, admitting that he used ‘inappropriate language’
YouTuber MrBeast has released a statement after allegations about him using ‘inappropriate language’ emerged online.
In the statement, the YouTuber admitted that he has used ‘inappropriate language’ in the past.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, came under fire after allegations emerged of him using racist comments in the past.
A spokesperson for MrBeast told Associated Press: “When Jimmy was a teenager he acted like many kids and used inappropriate language while trying to be funny.
“Over the years he has repeatedly apologised and has learned that increasing influence comes with increased responsibility to be more aware and more sensitive to the power of language.
“After making some bad jokes and other mistakes when he was younger, as an adult he has focused on engaging with the MrBeast community to work together on making a positive impact around the world.”

Donaldson is known for his videos in which he stages lavish and elaborate giveaways, and has proven highly successful with his YouTube platform having some 307 million subscribers.
Among them was a parody of Netflix show Squid Game, and the latest includes titles such as Ages 1 – 100 Decide Who Wins 250,000 dollars, and I Built 100 Houses And Gave Them Away!
The YouTubers videos have earned him a mixed reaction from the philanthropic sector.
While some have praised the encouragement of direct philanthropy in the videos, others have criticised the format of the videos as being exploitative ‘inspiration porn’.
A clip of YouTube influencer Rosanna Pansino circulated on Twitter in 2017 in which Mr Donaldson replied to a viewer who commented about selling black people for money by saying ‘the most I would pay is probably 300’.

A different clip from May 2017 in a podcast appearance shows Mr Donaldson suggesting that he would have sex with rapper Bhad Bhabie, who was 14-years-old at the time.
The statement from Mr Donaldson’s representatives have come after the departure of Ava Kris Tyson, a longtime collaborator on MrBeast’s channel.
Ms Tyson announced her departure from ‘all things MrBeast and social media’ on July 23 2024 after allegations emerged that she had sent inappropriate messages to a minor.
In a post on July 24, Mr Donaldson said that he is hiring independent investigators to look into the allegations, and said he was ‘disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts’.
