Meghan Markle has been cruelly accused of wearing a pricey £5,000 ‘love bracelet’ from her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, by fans and critics on social media platform Reddit
Meghan Markle has been cruelly accused of still wearing her £5,000 love bracelet from her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson.
The Duchess of Sussex, who married Prince Harry in 2018, was married to Trevor, a film production company owner, from 2011 until 2013. But Meghan’s first marriage sadly didn’t stand the test of time, with them divorcing and citing “irreconcilable differences” after two years.
Meeting in 2004, the couple dated for seven years before getting hitched on a beach in Jamaica in 2011. Trevor is reported to have gifted Meghan a pricey Cartier bracelet around the time of their wedding, with photos from the Suits actress’ 2011 wedding appearing to show her wearing the band. It is not known if the gold bangle was a gift from her ex-husband but Meghan has been wearing the bracelet in recent years, according to fans. Taking to Reddit, one eagle-eyed fan penned: “Why is Meghan still wearing the Cartier ‘love bracelet’ given to her by former husband Trevor Engelson so often?”

They added how the Duchess “usually wears it just below the watch that used to belong to Princess Diana”, adding that the bracelet needs a tool to remove it, with them speculating that she does have a tool to remove it as she didn’t wear it during the engagement interview, at her wedding, or at her wedding reception.
“But she is wearing it in the documentary, in the scene where she’s crying with her hands covering her face and Harry’s next to her on the couch with his head thrown back, and probably other scenes but I’m too lazy to check,” the Reddit user penned. They then said: “It looks like she wore it in the Oprah interview too, as well as the promotional video for The Bench and the Variety photo shoot. And many other times.”
The Reddit user then said: “Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it actually a wedding present from Trevor?” Noting: “How is Harry okay with this? Doesn’t it take him some strenuous mental gymnastics to deal with how often she wears this piece — and that it actually locks onto her wrist?”
