Mark Zuckerberg continues to win the Wife Guy wars. Say what you will about that guy (and there’s a lot to be said!), but he really loves balling out on his wife, Priscilla Chan. You might recall that a couple months ago, Zuck commissioned a giant winged sculpture of Chan for their backyard. Now, he’s thrown her a giant disco-themed party just for the fun of it.

Perhaps you are like me and assumed this was Chan’s birthday party. Wrong! Her birthday is in February. The occasion, as stated in Zuck’s caption, seems to be that his wife wanted to have a big disco party in their backyard. As I said when he had the statue commissioned, this is what rich guys should be doing with their money. If your wife watches Saturday Night Fever, turns it off before it gets upsetting, and decides that she wants to put on a pair of sequined flare pants and dance to the Bee Gees, it’s your job as a billionaire to make that happen.
She looked fab, and he looked … well, his look is certainly something these days, isn’t it? He’s got his new favorite accessory on (a gold chain), and for the first time maybe ever, it makes sense as part of his outfit. He’s got the right pants on, his shirt is unbuttoned to the middle of his torso (gross, but on theme), so why is he wearing a bomber jacket? Men love to “get into fashion” and then become obsessed with bomber jackets.
Whatever! For the most part, Zuck popped off with this. I look forward to seeing what his next grand gesture is. Maybe he’ll buy her a small country.
