King Charles aims to heal Prince Andrew rift to avoid another Royal brotherly feud

King Charles aims to heal the rift with Prince Andrew, despite his refusal to leave the Royal Lodge and other controversies, in order to avoid another brotherly feud like the one between Prince William and Prince Harry.

Despite Andrew’s links to an alleged Chinese spy and his refusal to vacate the 30-room estate, Charles is said to be cautious not to intensify the situation, a royal expert has revealed.

Speaking on the matter, a royal expert noted that the monarch recognizes Andrew as his brother and aims to keep the situation “calm and under control.”

In a conversation with The Mirror, royal expert Jennie Bond said, “Nothing is going to change the fact that Andrew is Charles’s brother.”

“So I think this is a year when the King will try to keep the situation with Andrew calm and under control,” she added. “A lot depends on what, if any, further stories or allegations are made against the Duke in the coming months.”

“That will dictate whether Charles will ever invite him to be part of private family gatherings or not. At the moment I don’t think the King wants to exacerbate the situation by taking punitive action.”

She added while referring to William and Harry’s ongoing feud, “The family already has two totally estranged brothers, it doesn’t need any more.”

Bond said before concluding that Andrew is said to be “very sad” over his latest controversies and Charles worries that, “Kicking a man when he’s down can take a dangerous toll on mental health.”
