Kendrick Lamar is dominating Grammy 2025, as his feud with Drake helped him reach a milestone that even Eminem has yet to achieve.
Kendrick Lamar is dominating the Grammy 2025 scene, scooping up three awards, Best Rap Song, Best Music Video, and Best Rap Performance, out of seven nominations.
With these wins, he joins Jay-Z and Ye as one of only three rappers with 20+ Grammys.
At this rate, Kendrick Lamar is proving that Jay-Z and Kanye’s Grammy records may not be safe for long.
Kendrick Lamar isn’t just winning the rap battle, he’s winning the Grammy war too! While his feud with Drake set 2024 on fire, it looks like only one of them is stacking up the awards, and rightfully so. The Compton wordsmith has already scooped up three Grammys, Best Rap Song, Best Music Video, and Best Rap Performance, out of his seven nominations.

And with that, he levels up to elite status, joining Jay-Z and Ye as one of only three rappers to cross the 20+ Grammy milestone. To further put emphasis on how rare this is, even Eminem, another hip-hop legend, has yet to reach the 20+ Grammy club, as he has only 15. The Grammys have spoken, and K.Dot isn’t just making hits, he’s making history!
Kendrick Lamar is indeed a GOAT, and his Grammy wins prove why!
Looks like Drake’s wish finally came true, just not in the way he expected! In Family Matters, he sarcastically quipped, “Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a Grammy right now.” Well, the universe listened or at least the Recording Academy did, because Kendrick Lamar just walked away with three!
And thus, Not Like Us winning Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video, Kendrick Lamar is now officially a 20x Grammy winner, the third most-decorated rapper of all time. Meanwhile, Drake himself has five Grammys, having been nominated a total of 51 times.

Not Like Us, which dropped in May at the peak of his feud with Drake, wasn’t just a diss track, it was a cultural moment. The West Coast anthem debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, stayed there for weeks, and in October, broke Old Town Road‘s record for the longest reign on the Hot Rap Songs chart as per Billboard.
And the momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Up next, the rapper is set to take over the biggest stage in the world, the Super Bowl halftime show. And with everything going on, one thing is clear, 2025 will be Kendrick Lamar’s year as well!
Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy wins over the years…
Kendrick Lamar has come a long way from his first Grammy nominations at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, where his breakout album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City put him on the radar. Though he didn’t take home any wins that year, it didn’t take long for him to start stacking trophies.
With a staggering 57 Grammy nominations to his name, K.Dot has through the years become a staple at the awards, winning in major categories like Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance multiple times. Some of his biggest wins include, (via Grammy.com)
