Homelander vs. Soldier Boy has been a big topic of discussion amongst fans of The Boys ever since Antony Starr and Jensen Ackles’ Supes came face-to-face and briefly battled in Season 3. The discussion sparked a big question: Is Soldier Boy stronger than Homelander?
The Boys is currently in Season 4, which has so far not featured Ackles’ character in any capacity. So is Soldier Boy more powerful than Homelander? Who would win a Homelander vs. Soldier Boy fight? Here are your answers.
Is Soldier Boy stronger than Homelander in The Boys?
Homelander and Soldier Boy appear to be close in physical strength, if not evenly matched. The former even told the latter that he was the only Supe nearly as strong as him.
However, Homelander possesses other abilities like flight, super speed, X-ray vision, and laser beams that give him an advantage over Soldier Boy. Antony Starr’s Supe appeared to recognize this advantage in his first fight with Jensen Ackles’ character, quickly putting Soldier Boy in a position where he required Butcher and Hughie’s help to subdue him.
Who would win in a Homelander vs. Soldier Boy fight?
In a Homelander vs. Soldier Boy fight, the former could probably win if there were no rules and both combatants could use whatever abilities they had against each other. This is because Homelander possesses a wider range of abilities like flight, sharpened senses, and X-ray vision powers that Soldier Boy doesn’t. However, Soldier Boy could use his newly acquired radiation blast, capable of depowering and even destroying Supes, to turn the tide in his favor and win.
However, in a fight that simply only allowed hand-to-hand combat, Soldier Boy would gain an edge as he has demonstrated actual fighting skills, compared to Homelander who always relied on his heat vision and immense strength when taking down his opponents, and never actually fought anyone simply using his fists.
Moreover, Soldier Boy has also shown greater discipline and control over his emotions, which gives him an edge over Homelander, who being very emotionally unstable, easily loses his cool in fights and tense situations.
