Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, appears driving the world’s first electric muscle car, the Dodge Charger Daytona. The hip-hop star has had a long-term relationship with Chrysler and Dodge, first demonstrating his commitment to the brand in a commercial aired during the Super Bowl back in 2011.
During the photo shoot, Eminem recreated scenes from his music video, “Houdini,” which has already been viewed by 133 million people on YouTube only. The hit is included in his newest album, “The Death of Slim Shady.”
The Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack Stage 2 was lent by Dodge to the team specifically for the occasion. It seemed like the right car, in tune with Eminem’s rebellious reputation. Furthermore, both the Dodge and Eminem stand as Detroit legends. The artist was born in Missouri but raised right outside Detroit, while The Motor City is home to Dodge and several other car brands.
The Daytona Scat Pack Stage 2 sounds every inch a brutal machinery, even though the ICE diehards might disagree. The muscle car is powered by a dual-motor setup, each pumping out 335 horsepower and each engaging an axle, for a total of 670 horsepower and 627 pound-feet (850 Newton meters) of torque in an all-wheel drive setup, with help from a rear-slip differential. The Stage 2 upgrade brings 80 horsepower (81 metric horsepower) more.

Those figures are enough for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.3 seconds, a quarter mile in 11.5 seconds, and a top speed electronically limited at 137 mph (220 kph).
The Charger Daytona Scat Pack is equipped with a 100.5-kWh high-voltage nickel-cobalt-aluminum battery pack, which stores enough energy to make the electric muscle car drive as far as 260 miles (418 kilometers) before it needs to be plugged in again.
This version of the electric model is the next best thing to the HEMI-powered Challenger SRT Hellcat with 717 horsepower (727 metric horsepower).
Dodge has recently released the pricing of the brand-new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona. The car that Eminem shows up with on the cover of the Complex magazine starts at $73,190. However, if the potential customers consider getting a frunk, they will have to purchase the entire Group Plus package, which is a $4,995 affair. The First Edition is set to hit dealerships in the third quarter of 2024, while the ICE versions will be go into production in 2025.
It is the first time Complex has integrated a brand into its cover artwork. The magazine first teased the collaboration with Dodge and Eminem toward the end of July, which got people wondering what it would be.
