NFL star Joe Burrow was bumping Eminem’s new album so much this past week that the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback showed up to training camp doing his best Slim Shady impression.
Burrow traded his golden locks for a clean buzz cut with a bleach blond significantly lighter than his natural color. The LSU alum wore a pink T-shirt and floral shorts to complete his Slim Shady-inspired transformation.
“Guess who’s back,” the team captioned Tuesday’s (July 23) photos in an homage to the rapper. Eminem fans picked up on Burrow’s new look and the pics quickly went viral sweeping social media by storm.
“Will the real Joe Burrow please stand up,” one person commented while another added, “He watched Barbie last night and listened to Eminem on the way in this morning.”
Joe Burrow isn’t the only Bengals star rocking the buzz cut for training camp, as wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase cut his signature braids for a fresh start.
Burrow and the Bengals are seeking a return to form after missing the playoffs last season. While the Bengals don’t play Eminem’s Detroit Lions in the regular season, perhaps the pair of Super Bowl hopefuls can link up in February and face-off at SB LIX in New Orleans.
Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady dethroned Taylor Swift’s three-month reign atop the Billboard 200, with Em’s album earning 281,000 total album-equivalent units in the first week to give Slim his 10th chart topper.
