Eminem mentions Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion on 'Antichrist'Via X

The hip-hop community has been abuzz over the newest issue as some of its luminaries- EminemNicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion are dragged into it. Emimem has the internet going nuts over a track appropriately titled “Antichrist” on his upcoming album. On the track, Eminem touts his freestyle skills rapping “I can spit a bar or however long you let me go/ Rolling like Meg Thee Stallion with her legs in dollies nicking Minaj to scissor (cut it out) Megan’s very provocative line not only got people talking, but re-ignited the feud that Meg and Nicki have kept going for months.

With this in mind, the release of Antichrist happens to take place amidst one of the most heated rap showdowns in recent memory: the battle between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. Indeed, Megan’s diss track Hiss takes a swipe at a number of artists, with the most subtle one aimed at Minaj. “I ain’t the one to play with, big feet better back off” raps Megan, obviously referencing Nicki’s pseudonym “Big Foot”. Naturally, Minaj decided to respond in kind with her own diss track, Big Foot, that targets Stallion both for being taller than her and for numerous controversies.

In” Big Foot,” which is her riposte for it, Nicki snaps back: “You talk tall, but girl your story’s small/ Wanna be the stallion? Better check who you call.” The exchanging of ignites in their raps has turned beef, with each using music as a way to talk about and push its rival. Their public tiff has been a circus with fans and media outlets paying close attention to each twist in the tale.

Eminem referencing both in “Antichrist” certainly stoked the fires. These lyrics: “I can spit a bar So hard, Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj will scissor” have been taken by some as an unabashed claim to the throne in rap among what might be shade towards ongoing beef between Meg & Nic. The wordplay has divided fans, either in awe of Eminem’s wit or furious at him for adding more fuel to the fire.

The hip-hop world has spoken out diversely on the matter. As it should be, the social media world is lit with thoughts or arguments on Eminem’s verses and popular memes to both women as well about all that happened. Coming to Twitter, everyone said the same thing: “Eminem just poured gasoline on this Megan vs. Nicki fire lol.” This is gonna be epic!” Another wrote, “This is just messy. Eminem just chill and put your queens to rest.

Like This The premeditated tension is part of the appeal for fans who like how raw and unfiltered many moments in musical trades are. This is what hip-hop is competition, this is BARZ! Talking raw shit.§ That same shot prompted one Instagram follower to comment: I am here for it. But Some worry controversies harm careers or personal lives of artists.

With beef still in its toddler years, Eminem’s ‘Antichrist‘ not only showed off his lyrical prowess but also highlighted one of bubbling issue within Hip-Hop. Things between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj are certainly not about to settle down for the long haul, particularly with Eminem having just stirred up some fresh controversy. Everybody, from civilians to critics alike are on the edge of their seats as this lyrical chess match resumes.
