Ed Sheeran fans go crazy when friend Eminem just verified important information about the 2025 world tour

The pair reunited in the rapper’s hometown Detroit for Sheeran’s world tour

Ed Sheeran’s fans were whipped into a frenzy as the singer was joined by pal Eminem for a surprise duet.

The Thinking Out Loud singer brought out the rapper to perform his hit Lose Yourself during his Mathematics Tour at Ford Field stadium in Detroit, which is Eminem’s hometown.

Sheeran, 32, kicked things off by teasing the audience with an impressive acoustic guitar cover of the song, claiming that his band had only practised it earlier that day.

“Let’s see how this goes,” he said. Soon after, the crowd erupted as the 50-year-old rap superstar appeared onstage belting out his lyrics.

Donning a black hoodie and jeans, the Slim Shady star amped up the already hyped audience even more, holding the microphone out to encourage them to sing along.

The duo proceeded to tease the crowd. Sheeran said: “He was gonna come on and do one song and I said, ‘You can’t come on in Detroit and just do one song.

“‘Do you want another song?’”, he cheekily asked the crowd before launching into another Eminem chart-topping song, Stan.

Sheeran delighted the crowd by singing verses of the 2000’s track originally performed by British star Dido. After the duets, Eminem said: “I appreciate you, Detroit. I love you!”

Sheeran took to Instagram to post a video of the appearance and captioned it: “Detroit. What a moment.”

“If I was in the crowd… I would’ve gone ballistic,” one Instagram user wrote. “This was absolutely fantastic to see live. 60,000 + people literally lost their minds simultaneously – me included,” wrote another.

While a third commented. “Best moment ever. I’m going to be talking about this moment until I’m in the ground.”

The pair have previously performed together. They joined forces onstage last November during the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Los Angeles when Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, was an inductee.

The stars have also collaborated over the years, including on Eminem’s single River and Ed’s 2019 tune Remember The Name, which also features Eminem’s protege, 50 Cent.

Sheeran has also spoken of his longtime friendship with the rapper and revealed that his album, The Marshall Mathers LP, helped him overcome his childhood stutter.

“I was going through all sorts of speech therapy,” the singer once told radio DJ Howard Stern on his radio show.

“When I was nine, my uncle bought me The Marshall Mathers LP, and he just said to my dad, ‘This guy’s the next Bob Dylan, you gotta let him listen.’

“My dad didn’t really clock it. He was just like, ‘Ok, Edward’s gonna go and listen to that.’ And by learning that record and rapping it back to back to back to back, it cured my stutter. And I stopped… talking like that.”
