Dr. Dre, one of music’s most successful and sought after producers, sat down with Kevin Hart on a recent episode of Hart To Heart and stressed the importance of long term musical relationships.
“It’s about collaborating,” the “Still D.R.E.” producer says in response to Hart saying that Dre was connected to some of music’s biggest projects and artists. “Collaborating with some of the smartest and most talented motherfuckers to ever step inside of a studio.”
Dre explained the importance of long term musical relationships.
“If I’m fuckin with you, then I hopefully I wanna fuck with you for life,” he said. “I love long term relationships. We’re in a relationship and making music and money and gettin’ creative. It’s not just a one-off with me. When you sign up to work with me, hopefully you’re signing up for a life long relationship, thats why I’m going into it. We make this music, and hopefully it’s a stepping stone to a fantastic relationship going forward. We can talk about life, relationships, our kids, that’s what I look for. It’s a give and take, where I’m giving you this and I want something back.”
