Blake Lively is hunting down more “receipts” amid her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
If you forgot, the 37-year-old It Ends With Us accused her costar and director of sexual harassment and engaging in a smear campaign against her in December 2024. The New York Times published a story that featured text messages that Blake cited as evidence of Justin‘s bad behavior.
However, Justin clapped back and claimed that the messages that were published were incomplete. He released what were allegedly the complete messages in a lawsuit against NYT in early January. Even more messages were included in a lawsuit targeting Blake and Ryan Reynolds.
Earlier this month, Justin published a website that his legal team alleged had all of the necessary receipts for his face off against Blake.
Blake‘s team just took a big step to hunt down any other evidence.
On Wednesday (February 12), Blake‘s team subpoenaed cell carriers including AT&T, T-Moble and Verizon, according to reporting by Deadline.
“Ms. Lively has initiated discovery that will expose the people, tactics, and methods that have worked to ‘destroy’ and ‘bury’ her reputation and family over the past year,” her attorneys Esra Hudson and Michael Gottlieb told the outlet.
The statement continued, saying, “Subpoenas went out to the entities below. We will now receive all of the ‘receipts’ that, unsurprisingly, are nowhere to be found on Mr. Freedman’s website, and like Ms. Lively, those ‘receipts’ will have their day in court.”
If you missed it, the lawyer of a prominent Hollywood star recently weighed in on this legal battle.
