Alan Ritchson returns as the main character for Reacher part 3, but there’s a bigger guy in the picture

Reacher is back. Prime Video has debuted the official trailer for Season 3 of the fan-favorite action series ahead of its February premiere.

Alan Ritchson returns as the title character, Jack Reacher, in the action-packed trailer, which adapts the fan-favorite Lee Child novel Persuader. The trailer also introduces fans to this season’s antagonists: Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck, Olivier Richters as Paulie, and Brian Tee as Quinn, the latter of whom was investigated by Reacher ten years earlier when they were both still in the Army. In the new season, “Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his own past,” reads the official synopsis. Check out the official Reacher Season 3 trailer below.

Besides Ritchson, the only other cast member set to return from the previous two seasons of Reacher is Maria Sten, who reprises her role as Frances Neagley. As for newcomers, the rest of the Season 3 cast includes Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy, Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck, Robert Montesinos as Guillermo Villanueva, and Daniel David Stewart as Steven Elliot.

Reacher Himself Declares Season 3 as the Best Season Yet

While attending Brazil’s CCXP in December 2024, Ritchson hyped the upcoming season of Reacher, calling it “peak TV” and the best season they’ve made yet. “Things get pretty dangerous,” he said, alluding to Reacher’s forthcoming fight(s) with the gigantic Paulie. “Things get — and I mean this, I would never lead you astray — there’s been a little tiny something in each season where I’ve been like, ‘I wish we could do that better.’ Season 3 is by far the best season we’ve ever made.”

The actor continued, “Start to finish, this is high-octane action, this is peak TV, and I cannot wait for everyone to watch this. […] I don’t want to ruin it for you. In Persuader, Reacher has to go undercover, and he’s gotta do some heavy lifting, both to stay alive and to find someone he’s looking for. Things get quite dangerous. But he also comes across his most formidable foe yet, in Paulie. Paulie is someone who makes Reacher look absolutely tiny.”

Alan Ritchson remains one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, with the Reacher star set to headline a new action movie from director Scott Waugh.

With Reacher one of Prime Video’s more popular series, the streamer wants to make sure that fans aren’t kept waiting for new seasons. A fourth season has already been announced, with filming set to begin later this year. “Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, in October 2024. “We are looking forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series including Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance and CBS Studios.”

The first three episodes of Reacher Season 3 premiere on Feb. 20, with subsequent episodes dropping every Thursday until Mar. 27 on Prime Video.
