A new image has been revealed for Reacher season 3. Alan Ritchson’s Prime Video series began in 2022, releasing an eight-episode season in bulk. The series adapts Lee Childs’ Jack Reacher novels, the first of which was released in 1997. In addition to Ritchson, Reacher features a leading cast including Maria Stern, Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Serinda Swan, and Sonya Cassidy. Both completed seasons of the series have been incredibly popular, and Reacher season 3 is now set for release on February 20.

Per Empire, a new image is revealed for Reacher season 3. In the image, protagonist Jack Reacher faces off against his new rival. Paulie, played by Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters, who looms over Ritchson. He wears a tank top that shows off his muscular frame. In the background is exercise equipment typical of those in boxing training. Check out the image below:

Paulie Is A Physical Threat To Jack

This latest Reacher image makes Ritchson look like a tiny man, even though that is far from the case. As is fitting to play the tough action star, Ritchson stands at a reported 6’3″ tall. Ritchers, is even more gigantic, standing at 7’2″. His nearly one-foot advantage over Ritchson makes Olivier look massive and domineering, making him a good physical casting for the role of Reacher’s new rival.

The third installment of the Prime Video series adapts Persuader, the seventh book in the Jack Reacher series. It is in this novel that Paulie is the bodyguard of Zachary Beck, another key character from the story. Played by Anthony Michael Hall, Zachary is already confirmed to be a major character in the upcoming season of the show, so the TV version will mirror this character dynamic. In addition to revealing the image, the Empire preview also hinted at an intense fight between Jack and Paulie, which could be a climax in season 3.

Ritchers Is A Great Casting

The latest image from Reacher season 3 proves that Ritchers is pitch-perfect casting for Paulie. Even more than he needs to be verbally threatening or a good actor, Paulie needs to be a buff bodyguard, and he needs to be a physical threat to Reacher. Casting an actor that much bigger and more muscular than Ritchson is a feat, but the Reacher team managed to do so with Ritchers, which will amp up the excitement during Reacher season 3.
