Alan Ritchson is in big trouble up to a meter tall in the latest ‘Reacher’ Season 3 teaser

That’s a Paulie that would make your walnuts shrink the second you saw him. Alan Ritchson is in big, big trouble in the first look images at Reacher Season 3, with the wall of flesh coming face to face with, god help us, someone even bigger than him. Reacher’s face to face with Paulie (Oliver Richters) looks like it’s going to be the big selling point of this season, and Prime Video has given us a little preview ahead of next month’s release.

Season 3 is adapting the Lee Child novel Persuader for this season. In the novel, Reacher is tasked with carrying out a covert mission for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to bring down a drug smuggling operation, but his motivation is driven by a desire to get vengence on Francis Xavier Quinn, a key figure in Beck’s network.

What Can We Expect from ‘Reacher’ Season 3?

Ritchson and Maria Sten are the two familiar faces rejoining us as Reacher and Neagley, but the show has also brought in quite a few newbies to the cast for this go around, including Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck, the corrupt businessman, and Sonya Cassidy as DEA Agent Susan Duffy. Brian Tee is also part of the crew as the horrid Quinn, while Johnny Berchtold is taking on the role of Richard Beck, the student whose attempted kidnapping sets the foundation for the plot of the season. Reacher will also partner up with Roberto Montesinos as DEA Agent Guillermo Villanueva and Daniel David Stewart as rookie Agent Steven Elliot.

Speaking in August, Ritchson let it slip that the show would be operating in a more “classic” direction with Reacher going back to being a lone wolf, following the teamwork aspect of Season 2, which some fans felt came slightly too early in the series.

“I can’t say too much about Season 3, but I will say there’s a lot of classic Reacher stories which are just adventures that he gets sucked into in a big way. We get to enjoy Reacher in a new world. It may not have anything to do with family, with his past, he’s just living that adventure out, and that’s kind of the direction that we’ve gone, and it seems to really be working.”
