A scene in The Boys Season 4 could elevate Antony Starr’s portrayal of Homelander to the forefront and earn him an Emmy right away
Homelander actor Antony Starr’s brilliant performance in The Boys needs to be studied as fans wonder where is his Emmy.
One of the greatest villains to come out of modern television is Antony Starr’s Homelander on The Boys. The character is one of the most popular twists on Superman, one that fans have rallied behind thanks to Starr’s amazing performance.

Reddit has put the spotlight on one particular scene from Season 4 of The Boys, which shows how brilliant of an actor Antony Starr is, and why his Emmy nomination should be more forthcoming than its current state.
Antony Starr’s subtle acting is what brings Homelander to life!

Antony Starr has received a lot of acclaim for his work in The Boys. Bouncing off of great performances from the likes of Karl Urban and Giancarlo Esposito, the actor has distinguished himself as the benchmark for villainy on the small screen. Despite the show, competing with the likes of House of the Dragon and Invincible, The Boys has managed to create a wide and sustainable niche for itself, which is in a large part carried by Homelander.
vertisement
There seems to be a lot of potent support for an Emmy campaign for Antony Starr. The actor has become a pop cultural icon, almost at the level of Darth Vader or Hannibal Lecter. The actor is heading toward his final season, and if the comics are anything to go by, the actor might be in for a hell of a ride.
The Boys Season 5 has a lot to resolve but could manage with Gen V Season 2
Homelander is at the peak of his powers at the end of season 4 of The Boys | Prime Video
Season 5 of The Boys has a lot to do in a very short amount of time. As the climax for the show has been set up, there are other spin-offs that can help supplement the upcoming installments of the show. Gen V Season 2 could help pick up some storylines, such as the one around Billy Butchder before the show opens for its final season.
While the main cast of the show would be indisposed, Annie January and Billie Butcher could be recurring characters in Gen V, using the children at God U to liberate their friends who are stuck behind bars, under the orders of Homelander. The show could also potentially feature Ryan, who might find himself at the university after being estranged from Billy and Homelander as well.
The Boys Season 5 will be released in 2026.
Gen V Season 2 will be released in 2025.
