A woman gave birth to a baby girl while attending a 50 Cent concert in Ridgefield, Washington earlier this month.
A source told Page Six on Tuesday about the unlikely scenario, which took place at the rapper’s Sept. 6 show at Style Resorts’ RV Inn Amphitheater.
“The girl was born on the spot, and the mother and child were then transported to the hospital, everyone is fine,” a source told the media.
Medical staff tried to attend to the woman who “appeared to be in distress,” the source told the media, when they discovered she was already in labor and could not be safely moved from where she was. Dailymail.
Workers gathered around the woman to form what the source described as a ‘human curtain’ before finding sheets to hold around the birth of the baby.
The rapper is currently on his international tour titled “The Final Lap” with Busta Rhymes and, with concerts in North America.
The tour kicked off at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 21 and is scheduled to run through November 12 with a date at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England.
The tour, which is produced by Live Nation, commemorates the 20th anniversary of the rapper’s megahit album Get Rich or Die Tryin, which spawned hits such as In da Club, PIMP and If I Can’t.
After wrapping up his North American tour on Sunday with a show at Detroit’s Pine Knob Music Theatre, 50 Cent is scheduled to resume the tour on September 28 in Amsterdam.
The rapper had a chaotic show on August 30 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, as he threw a broken microphone into the crowd.
The shell struck Bryhana Monegain, a radio host for Power 106, in the head, injuring her. She then filed a police report, according to TMZ.
A number of similar incidents have been reported in recent years involving women giving birth while attending a concert.
Last month, a woman named Angela Mercer went into labor while attending a Pink concert at Boston’s Fenway Park and went to a nearby hospital to complete the process.
