Tom Cruise had an awkward response to being asked a Father’s Day question amid his estrangement from his daughter Suri.
The 62-year-old actor was seemingly caught off guard by the unexpected question and being asked about the upcoming holiday.
He awkwardly said he would be ‘just having fun, man’ when asked about his ideal Father’s Day plans at the Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning premiere in New York City on Monday.
When a E! News journalist stopped him on the red carpet, he seemed taken aback by being asked: ‘Father’s Day is just around the corner. What would an ideal Father’s Day look like for you?’
He paused and said, ‘You know…’ before trailing off and shaking his head as his gaze moved to something in the distance. ‘Just having fun, man.’
Without referencing any of his kids, the father-of-three — who also broke his silence about his romance with Ana de Armas at the premiere — then redirected the conversation to his action films.

He has been estranged from his daughter, now 19, for years with many reports that the last time he saw her was in the summer of 2012 after Cruise and Katie Holmes separated; Suri is pictured August 2024 in New York City.

He has long been estranged from his daughter, now 19, whom he shares with actress Katie Holmes.
Cruise is reportedly close to his daughter Isabella, now 32, and son Connor, now 30, both of whom he and his second wife Nicole Kidman adopted when they were married in the ’90s.
He was first married to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990 before getting married to Kidman that same year.
Cruise and Kidman were together for 11 years before their 2001 split.
Five years later, Katie Holmes gave birth to their daughter Suri in April 2006, and the proud parents got married that same year.
They eventually called it quits in 2012, and since then, Cruise has long been estranged from their now-teenage daughter Suri.
In the comments section of the YouTube video, a slew of fans seemed appalled by the ‘naughty question.’
