Is Katy Perry’s Sing-Along in Space the Most Epic Moment of Blue Origin’s Bold Mission?

Katy Perry is still on cloud nine following her brief, historic trip to space.

On Monday, April 14, the “E.T.” singer, 40, joined journalist Gayle King, philanthropist Lauren Sánchez, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, astronaut and bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn on Blue Origin’s first all-female space mission.

As previously reported by PEOPLE, their trip in a New Shepard rocket, which took off from West Texas, lasted about 10 minutes.

Hours later, Perry shared video on Instagram from inside the capsule showing herself floating upside down alongside her fellow female crew members.

“One day when you’re older, will YOU still look up in wonder?” Perry wrote in the caption of the post as she reflected on the round-trip expedition to the edge of space. “Still processing this incredible journey ✨.”

The “Firework” singer went on to praise Jeff Bezos’ company as the trip marked the 11th human spaceflight for the New Shepard program, according to Blue Origin.

“Thank you @blueorigin and to my space sisters, taking up space AND making room in space for all – 143,” Perry wrote.

Teasing her upcoming Lifetime Tour, she signed off, “See you on tour (when I come down, figuratively).”

In the video, the six women are heard cheering as they float around inside the rocket, all wearing custom blue astronaut suits by Monse.

Perry laughs to herself as she holds up a daisy to the camera, which she took with her in honor of 4½-year-old daughter, Daisy, before Sánchez, 55, kisses a soft toy that was grabbed from floating by King, 70.

The group begins shouting at each other to look at the moon and the “blue line” of the Earth’s atmosphere.

The “Dark Horse” musician accompanied her post from the trip with her song “Wonder” from her 2024 album 143.

She previously told PEOPLE that her tour supporting the album will also be a “celebration of a lot of the songs that people know.” The first date scheduled is Mexico City on April 23.

While on the rocket, Perry had entertained her fellow crew members by singing a few bars of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World,” something King called the “best part” of the short flight.

Perry’s daughter and fiancé, Orlando Bloom, watched the flight from the launch area. Following her safe return to Earth, Perry knelt and kissed the ground.
