From Krypton to Conservation: Henry Cavill Takes on a New Mission

He might be Superman onscreen, but Henry Cavill is also a super man in real life thanks to his conservation work.

The British star stopped by the Durrell Wildlife Park last week after being made an ambassador for the international charity that strives to save species from extinction.

‘I’m enormously proud to be part of a team that makes such a huge positive impact on the world,’ Henry said, looking every bit the philanthropic hero.

‘Durrell is an organisation with a mission I can really get behind,’ the actor said a statement for the wildlife sanctuary located in his native island of Jersey in the Channel Isles.

‘I feel that saving the diversity of life on our planet will be seen as increasingly important in the not-too-distant future.

He added: ‘I genuinely believe that Durrell provide hope for those endangered animals that others may have given up on already. They ‘do the seemingly impossible’; I would be truly humbled if I help to make that possible.”

‘The work done here at Durrell wildlife park benefits all kinds of animals all over the world, not all of them are very well known however in fact you may not have heard of some of them at all for that matter.
