After years of battling serious health struggles in silence, American Idol Season 4 runner-up Bo Bice is making a powerful comeback — and his fans (the Bo-Peeps) are absolutely loving it!

The Alabama rock star, now 50, took to social media this week with an inspiring post that has everyone cheering. After dealing with painful Crohn’s disease complications, multiple surgeries, failing teeth, and years of medication, Bo revealed he has completely transformed his life.

“I’m off of all but 1 of the medication that held me captive for the past 7 years,” Bo wrote. “No drinking, no drugs, body clean from everything but natural God-grown remedies.”

He’s lost an incredible 89 pounds, ditched caffeine, cut his signature long hair into a fresh short “country boy” look, and donated all his oversized clothes. Now fitting into medium shirts and 30/30 pants again, Bo says he finally feels sharp, strong, and full of inspiration.

“Writing and practicing more than I have in years,” he shared. “The faucet is in full flow again and inspiration has returned to the well.”

In the accompanying photo, a smiling, healthy-looking Bo sports a spiky haircut and salt-and-pepper beard, radiating positive energy. He even joked about returning to the stage: “Back to gigging? Does anyone still want to hear from an old wolf who’s long in the tooth and short on worries?”
