Earlier this year, Prince Harry returned to the U.K. alone after King Charles’ cancer was revealed, while Meghan Markle remained in California with their two kids, where they relocated to in 2021. However, as per a new report, the couple may return to Harry’s homeland in the face of his family’s various health crises.
“Charles and Camilla have very good relationships with their other grandchildren,” a source recently told Daily Express UK. “And everyone is keen for them to have a stronger bond with Harry and Meghan’s kids, Archie and Lili.”
They added that the couple are on board, too, saying, “Both Harry and Meghan are keen for the children to become closer with Harry’s family.”
Why Meghan And Harry May Disagree On Relocating To The U.K.
InstarHowever, there were previously conflicting reports over whether Harry and Meghan agreed on returning to the U.K. even temporarily. While Markle has been apparently focusing on an acting comeback, Harry reportedly thinks a return could help them professionally and financially. Plus, his father and sister-in-law’s cancer diagnoses add another layer of motivation to return.
“Harry and Meghan have been talking about moving back to London,” a source told Life and Style. “[They] are going through one of the toughest times of their lives — and that’s saying a lot, considering what they’ve been through already.”
“Harry’s been trying to cut a secret deal to live and work with the royal family again,” they continued. “And Charles has graciously agreed to it. He and Meghan are grateful.”
“He loves Harry and his grandchildren, and having his family back together is what he’s wanted,” they added. “Meghan and Harry have to agree not to speak ill of the royals again/ That’s a must. It would be an utter embarrassment if they were to be kicked out of the family for a second time.”
King Charles Wants To Reconcile With Harry And His Grandkids
via: instarLikewise, earlier reports have said King Charles is eager to reconcile with his son and grandkids, so Harry and Meghan may be welcomed back with open arms to the U.K.
“[King Charles] desperately wants to reconcile with Harry,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. “The king would have been hugely relieved and comforted by the fact that Harry flew over,” she continued, adding it was likely “emotional and probably quite difficult for both of them.”
“He wants to repair that relationship and indeed have a relationship with his daughter-in-law and his grandchildren,” Nicholl went on. “I think when someone has a serious health scare like this, it does make you reassess things and I think that’s why Harry got on the first flight he could.”
With Meghan’s recent lifestyle brand flopping in the U.S., and King Charles as well as Kate Middleton’s cancer treatment continuing, perhaps a fresh start back in his native country is on Harry’s mind after all.
