Ford recently appeared at the San Diego Comic-Con, where he took part in a special presentation to promote his upcoming MCU debut in Captain America: Brave New World. Ford’s enthusiasm for the role reminded fans of his disdain for his Star Wars character. Here is what fans had to say about Harrison Ford joining the MCU.

Here is how fans reacted to Ford being excited and showing off his Red Hulk mannerisms at Comic-Con on X (formerly Twitter).

As the tweets indicate, fans were surprised by Ford’s enthusiasm for playing Red Hulk, especially given his previous disdain for his Star Wars character Han Solo.

In the past, Ford has been vocal about his dislike for the character of Han Solo, with the actor even begging George Lucas to kill him off in the franchise’s third installment. As a result, some fans found it refreshing to see Ford excited about a new franchise role while others found it annoying.

Harrison Ford Refuses to Answer Stupid Questions Be it MCU or Star Wars

Irrespective of how fans feel about Ford’s newfound enthusiasm for the role of Red Hulk, the actor has never been one to mince his words. Ford has been extremely candid during his interviews, especially about joining the MCU in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World.

To promote the film, Ford sat down for a conversation with Entertainment Weekly. During the interview, Ford was asked which of his characters dealt with snakes better, referring to the Serpent Society, which will appear in Captain America 4, and Indiana Jones’ dislike for the creatures.

I’ve always treated these questions with the utmost respect and somehow, at the same time, complete disdain. I will not answer that stupid question.

Ford made the above statement, explaining that the question was similar to the “Who shot first” situation from the Star Wars universe, which the actor has previously dismissed and outright refused to answer.

As a result, Fords’ words, especially his refusal to answer inconsequential questions about his roles prove that he doesn’t have a personal beef with either Han Solo or Red Hulk. Instead, the actor simply has a no-nonsense personality and prefers being candid with his opinions.

Captain America: Brave New World is slated to release on February 14, 2025.
