Johnny Storm’s fiery fling sets Doctor Doom’s wedding ablaze in ‘Fantastic Four Vol. 6 #33’, leaving fans and Namor in stitches.

The Marvel Comics have had millions of iconic moments and it is actually pretty impossible to pick one favorite out of them all. However, if we HAD to choose, we probably might go with Doctor Doom’s wedding in Fantastic Four Vol. 6 #33. Well, his “almost” wedding. Things were going pretty well for him and his beau until Johnny Storm stepped in with his fiery charm and ruined everything.

This has got to be a fan-favorite moment from the Fantastic Four comics, especially thanks to the reactions of the wedding guests when Zora Vukovic reveals the truth of her one-night stand with Sue Storm’s brother. In fact, comic book enthusiasts still have not gotten over Namor’s reaction to the whole mess.

After losing both Sky and Lyja in mere moments in Fantastic Four Vol. 6 #33, Johnny Storm is absolutely devastated. Staying true to his frivolous character, Johnny jumps into bed with another woman – Zora Vukovic/Victorious.

Later, readers realize that the woman he slept with is the one Doctor Doom has chosen to be the Queen of Latveria, the Bride of Doom. Uh oh, looks like Johnny is in a hot, hot mess.

On the day of Doom and Zora’s wedding, the former invites many guests to the ceremony, including the Fantastic Four, T’Challa, and Namor. Standing at the altar, Doom is asked if he is willing to take Zora to be his “Queen eternal, in this life and the next.”

Doom replies, “By the blood of my ancestors, I so swear. And curse any man who would dare cause her harm and take her from my side.” Needless to say, Johnny was terrified. After all, he knew what he and Zora had done, and the weight of Doom’s ominous words hung heavily over him.

When it was Zora’s turn to take the oath, she was overcome with guilt and ended up blurting the entire truth out to her to-be husband. And if you know Doom, you know he didn’t take the confession lightly. Thus, the wrath of Doom ensued.

After Zora’s confession, the wedding attendees were shocked and perplexed, including T’Challa who looked like he saw a ghost. Reed Richards, who was ready to extend an olive branch toward Doom, was furious at his brother-in-law, rightly so.

Meanwhile, The Thing and Sue Storm aren’t shocked by Johnny’s behavior but are just disappointed in Johnny, who they know is capable of doing something like this.

However, the best reaction came from Namor, who couldn’t keep a straight face to save his life. Laughing during an intense and serious moment? Yep, relatable.
