Who died in the last episode of The Walking Dead season 6?

The sixteenth episode of The Walking Dead season 6 is titled “The Last Day on Earth”. This episode is the introduction episode to one of the biggest antagonists in the series, Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan who is shown as the leader of the saviors aka the Wolves. While the are no deaths shown in the earlier part of the episode, Rick and his group are ambushed by Negan who has all of them on their knees.

Negan explains his issues regarding the deaths of many of his men at the hands of Rick and his group, leading him to punish them for the same. While stating so, he shows Rick his wire-laced baseball bat which he calls “Lucille” and starts playing a menacing counting game to pick his victim to punish. He picks the game of “eeny, meeny, miny, moe”, placing the bat on them one by one as he recites the song. The final shot displays a POV of the person who is selected at the end of the phrase and is seen getting bashed by the bat, while we hear people screaming and the vision of the person fading away, ending on a cliffhanger.

While it wasn’t revealed in season 6, in season 7’s first episode, we get to see that both Abraham Ford and Glenn Rhee from Rick’s group were killed in a gruesome manner by Negan. It was Abraham who was struck first by Negan at the end of season six.
