The Warriors Keep Making History! This Record Puts Them Among The All-Time Greats! It May Take Decades For Another Team To Reach Their Mark Today

Along with extending their winning streak to four, the Golden State Warriors joined an exclusive club on Tuesday night with a victory over the Hornets. Tuesday’s win marked the Warriors’ 3,000th win as an NBA franchise. Only four other teams have eclipsed 3,000 or more wins.

The Warriors join the Boston Celtics (3,676), New York Knicks (3,011) Los Angeles Lakers (3,585) and Philadelphia 76ers (3,121) as the only franchises to win 3,000 or more games in the NBA.

The Warriors’ storied franchise includes 37 playoff appearances, 28 All-Stars, two Most Valuable Players and six NBA championships. The Warriors can now add 3,000 regular season wins to their resume.

The Golden State Warriors have experienced a season of significant highs and lows during the 2024-2025 NBA campaign. They commenced the season with an impressive 12-3 record, showcasing their potential as strong contenders. However, the momentum shifted as they faced a series of challenges, including a four-game losing streak in late November and multiple three-game skids in December, leading to a mid-season slump. As of February 27, 2025, the Warriors hold a 31-27 record, placing them 8th in the highly competitive Western Conference.

A pivotal moment in the season was the acquisition of Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat on February 5, 2025, in exchange for Andrew Wiggins and Kyle Anderson. Butler’s integration into the team has been seamless, contributing to a 5-1 record in his first six games with the Warriors. His presence has bolstered the team’s defense, leading to the best defensive rating over a seven-game stretch. Butler’s ability to draw fouls and his on-court synergy with Stephen Curry have been instrumental in revitalizing the Warriors’ performance.

The team’s resilience was further exemplified on February 26, 2025, when they achieved their 3,000th franchise win with a dominant 128-92 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. This milestone victory not only highlighted the Warriors’ rich history but also extended their winning streak to four games. Contributions from key players, including Buddy Hield, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green, underscore the team’s depth and cohesion. As the season progresses, the Warriors aim to maintain this upward trajectory, solidify their playoff position, and capitalize on the renewed energy brought by recent roster enhancements.
