More than 300 top prospects were invited to the combine in Indy this year ahead of April’s draft in Green Bay
The 2025 NFL scouting combine is here and with it, the official kickoff of the 2025 NFL Draft season.
The NFL invited 329 players to Indianapolis for the annual event, where players work out, teams get to interview them and coaches and front-office personnel from around the league address the media with the final recaps of the 2024 season and start looking ahead to 2025.
The Tennessee Titans have the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft. The last time they picked first was in 1978, when they — then the Houston Oilers — selected Heisman Trophy-winning running back and eventual Pro Football Hall of Famer Earl Campbell. This season’s Heisman winner, Travis Hunter, will be in Indianapolis. The two-way superstar is listed as a cornerback, but may work out with the defensive backs and wide receivers, should he take the field.
The top running back in this class has already decided he won’t be working out, with Ashton Jeanty reportedly making that decision at the beginning of the week.

James Pearce Jr. and Jihaad Campbell have set the NFL Combine on fire with their jaw-dropping performances. Both prospects showcased elite speed, power, and agility, turning heads with their impressive 40-yard dash times. Pearce, a dominant defensive lineman, displayed incredible burst off the line, proving why he’s one of the most highly touted pass rushers in this year’s draft class. Meanwhile, Campbell, a standout linebacker, stunned scouts with his quickness and fluid movement, solidifying his reputation as a defensive playmaker.
For Pearce Jr., his performance at the combine only reinforced what many scouts already knew—he’s a game-changer on the defensive front. His explosiveness, combined with his relentless motor, makes him a nightmare for opposing offensive linemen. His ability to disrupt plays in the backfield has drawn comparisons to some of the league’s elite edge rushers, and his speed in the 40-yard dash only cemented that status. With his stock rising rapidly, Pearce could become a top selection for teams in desperate need of a defensive force.
Campbell, on the other hand, proved that he is not just a physical specimen but also a well-rounded linebacker with the athleticism to thrive in today’s NFL. His ability to change direction effortlessly and cover ground in the open field makes him a perfect fit for modern defensive schemes. Scouts were particularly impressed with his blend of speed and strength, which allows him to excel in both pass coverage and run defense. After his electrifying performance, Campbell has undoubtedly positioned himself as one of the most sought-after linebacker prospects in the draft.
The NFL Combine is where future stars are made, and both Pearce Jr. and Campbell have left no doubt that they belong among the best. Their standout showings have not only increased their draft value but also sent a clear message to teams looking for elite defensive talent. With the draft fast approaching, all eyes will be on where these two athletic freaks land, as they have the potential to make an immediate impact at the next level. One thing is for sure—James Pearce Jr. and Jihaad Campbell just made their names impossible to ignore.
