Fans Didn’t Expect This! Knicks’ Surprising Roster Move Sparks Debate!

The Knicks are signing small forward MarJon Beauchamp to a two-way contract, SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley confirms.

Beauchamp is a former first-round pick of the Bucks.

He spent contributed 5.1 points and 2.2 rebounds while shooting 40 percent from the field off the bench last season.

Milwaukee traded the 24-year-old to the Los Angeles Clippers in the Kevin Porter Jr. deal ahead of the deadline, and he was waived shortly after to make room for G League standout Jordan Miller.

Beauchamp now comes to the Big Apple, where he’ll look to carve out a role for himself down the stretch.

The Knicks have one other two-way spot open after waiving Matt Ryan and Jacob Toppin on Sunday — and according to Begley, veterans Moses Brown, TJ Warren, and PJ Tucker are among the players they are considering.

MarJon Beauchamp has shown flashes of brilliance with his athleticism, defensive versatility, and ability to contribute on both ends of the floor. As a wing player, he thrives in transition, using his length and speed to attack the rim and finish with authority. His energy and hustle make him an asset, especially on defense, where he disrupts passing lanes and contests shots with his impressive wingspan. Though his offensive game is still developing, his ability to slash to the basket and finish through contact has been a highlight of his performances.

While Beauchamp’s three-point shooting remains inconsistent, his mid-range game and off-ball movement have improved over time. He has shown flashes of confidence in spot-up shooting situations and is working to become a more reliable perimeter threat. His rebounding ability also stands out, as he crashes the boards aggressively, often securing second-chance opportunities for his team. His willingness to put in the work on both ends of the court suggests that he has the potential to grow into a valuable two-way player.

Despite still refining parts of his game, Beauchamp’s upside is undeniable. His defensive intensity, coupled with his ability to play multiple positions, makes him a promising young talent. If he continues to develop his shooting and ball-handling, he could carve out a solid role at the NBA level. With the right system and coaching, Beauchamp has the potential to become a key contributor, bringing energy, defense, and athleticism to any team willing to invest in his growth.
