Leonardo DiCaprio got his wish and dished out some high praise ahead of his new movie, ‘One Battle After Another.’
Leonardo DiCaprio’s decorated acting career is filled with beloved movies and a laundry list of awards and nominations. The three-time Golden Globe award-winner has starred in high-profile films ranging from Titanic to The Departed and The Wolf of Wall Street among others.
While DiCaprio, 50, remains one of the biggest names in Hollywood, he still has a bucket list of people he wants to work with. Fortunately, with the upcoming release of his latest movie, One Battle After Another, he can now mark one name off that list.
DiCaprio admitted he’s wanted to work with Paul Thomas Anderson, who directed the upcoming film, “for almost 20 years now,” as Deadline revealed.
“I’ve been wanting to work with Paul [Thomas Anderson] for almost 20 years now,” DiCaprio said at CinemaCon.
“… He’s one of the most unique talents of our time.”
Anderson’s much-anticipated new film, which is set to be released on September 26, 2025, stars DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall and Chase Infiniti. As Variety detailed, One Battle After Another is expected to be inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland.
DiCaprio plays the role of Bob Ferguson, a revolutionary who’s trying to save his daughter.
Variety reports the film is rumored to cost upwards of $100 million to make, with a recent projection as high as $140 million. This would make it the most expensive film of Anderson’s career.
