Kevin Feige is Seemingly Not Giving Up on Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel as She is Rumored to Return in Avengers 5 With 2 Other Endgame Heroes

It sure sounds like Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel ain’t going nowhere.

One of the most skilled warriors, reliable leaders, and incredibly powerful characters in the entire Marvel universe, Captain Marvel is easily one of the most popular characters in the comics. However, the recent live-action adaptations of her character arcs starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers rank among some of the most critically panned projects from the MCU to date.

But it seems like the failure of especially The Marvels hasn’t gotten Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige on the verge of losing all hope in the character. This comes after the latest updates reveal that she will be making her return through Avengers 5. What’s more is that she won’t be the only one coming back, considering how 2 other heroes from Avengers: Endgame are also reported to return.

Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is Reportedly Returning in Avengers 5

Recently, @marvel_updat3s took to their respective X handle to break the news that the fan-favorite character of Carol Danvers hasn’t faced her end for Marvel’s live-action projects yet, considering how she will reportedly be making her (presumably) next appearance in the next Avengers film.

Moreover, she isn’t the only one reported to return because this update states that Tessa Thompson‘s superhero Valkyrie will also be appearing alongside Larson’s Carol Danvers.

Plus, adding to this already star-studded superheroine duo, Sebastian Stan‘s Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier will also reportedly be coming back.

That said, this might come as a surprise to many, considering how, after setting the bar incredibly high with 2019’s Captain Marvel‘s success (which notably crossed the $1 billion mark on a budget of $160 million, as per Box Office Mojo), Larson’s beloved heroine crashed with The Marvels.

However, it seems like Marvel Studios prez Kevin Feige is looking past the epic failure that the 2023 movie was, and is, instead, looking at new and better ways to bring the iconic character back in a manner that helps her regain her powerful status among fans.

Furthermore, considering how Brie Larson is easily a major fan-favorite for the respective role, she might as well be expected to continue to play the Kree superhero.

But while that’s that, fans seem to have mixed opinions on these reports.

While a lot of fans are, indeed, happy to know that three of their favorite characters just might make their way back to the Marvel live-action saga, at the same time, some others are simply not interested anymore, especially after the recent turn of events regarding the big bad in Avengers 5.

Moreover, some other fans besides these fear that Marvel would go ahead and make this project woke as well by seemingly incorporating some romance between Danvers and Valkyrie, considering how these two characters have been reported to return.

All in all, here are some of the reactions of these other fans to these reports on X:

For what it’s worth, these fan concerns are quite understandable as well, so Marvel needs to develop an incredibly strong storyline that could leave audiences as immersed and entertained as it did back in the old days through pretty much all the previous Avengers movies.

That is, if these reports are indeed true
