Meghan Markle’s Easter celebration was absolutely charming!
On Sunday, April 20, the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex posted a delightful Instagram clip showcasing unexpected visitors at her home during the holiday. Set to Louis Jordan’s classic tune “Choo Choo Ch’Boogie,” the video features Meghan standing by her driveway in a long white shirtdress.
She beams with delight and a look of wonder as a mother duck leads her line of ducklings across the driveway. Meghan captioned the heartwarming moment, “Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love….and surprises!”
She also reposted the clip on her Instagram Stories, adding, “An Easter weekend surprise! 💕.”
Since reactivating her Instagram account at the beginning of 2025, Meghan has offered glimpses into her family’s life in Montecito, California, including their holiday traditions. In February, she shared how her children, 5-year-old Prince Archie and 3-year-old Princess Lilibet—whom she shares with Prince Harry—celebrated Valentine’s Day with red bagels and heart-shaped strawberries. The family also enjoyed a green-themed meal for St. Patrick’s Day morning.
In the U.K., the royal family attended the traditional Easter service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. While Meghan participated in many royal events during her time as a working royal, she never attended the family’s Easter gathering.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex missed the 2018 Easter service, just weeks before their wedding at the same location. In 2019, Prince Harry attended the royal Easter event alone, as Meghan was pregnant with their first child, who was born shortly after on May 6.
In early 2020, Meghan and Harry announced their decision to step back from their roles as senior royals, later moving to California in March. That year, the royal family did not gather for Easter due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
