Meghan Markle ‘desperate to make the world obsessed with her’, says expert

Meghan Markle has been accused of copying President Donald Trump in a bid to make the world “obsessed with her”. The 43-year-old launched the second episode of her podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder, on Tuesday. Despite it reaching 19th place on Spotify’s podcast charts, critics have said – following the release of the first two episodes – that it offers “no substance”.

As reported by The Sun, royal expert Mark Borkowski has said that the podcast shows that Meghan appears “desperate” to be liked by the world. Speaking of the Duchess, he said: “One could argue that’s a major success because, you know, it keeps her in this sort of public gaze and keeps the global media obsessed about her story.

“Whether it’s the President of the United States or Meghan Markle, it is all about noise now.

“But you know, what are the cut through messages – and I don’t think we’ve seen that with Meghan at the moment because everything seems to be the next thing that’s thrown against the wall hoping it will stick.”

Speaking of fame, he added that he feels that anyone can become famous but it takes a certain trait to stay in the spotlight – something that he believes the US President has.

He said: “Any large personality can generate a huge Instagram following. But how do you stop being boring? What did Trump say? Everybody needs a little crazy.

“The problem is about staying, not just staying at the top but remaining famous, but also dealing with that fame in a highly cruel and critical world.”

According to Lemonada Media, who Meghan signed with last year, Confessions of a Female Founder includes “insights from a handful of amazing women who have scaled small ideas into successful companies.”

It also includes “fly-on-the-wall conversations” which will “inspire anyone who’s interested in turning their own entrepreneurial dreams into a reality” – as well as “anyone else who just wants to hear what really happens behind the scenes.”
