Meghan Markle wants King Charles’ assurance she and Harry will retain royal title when William takes over

 Meghan Markle is trying to ensure that her and her husband Prince Harry’s royal titles won’t be snatched away from them after Prince William becomes the king.

King Charles has been battling cancer for months, and amid this, the former actress wants to have a summit meeting with him to protect their future as William does not want her and his brother to keep the Duke and Duchess of Sussex honors, RadarOnline.com has reported.

The publication also reported that Meghan is seeking the promise from her father-in-law that they’ll always be the Sussexes even after his death.

‘Meghan needs that royal cachet’ to sell her brand

A mole shared, “Harry and Meghan are increasingly anxious about their waning influence in America, and news that Prince William is insisting they be stripped of their royal titles has plunged them into a state of panic.”

“Their titles represent their last vestige of support in the US, and losing them would be nothing short of disastrous. Meghan needs that royal cachet to sell her As Ever products,” they noted.

The source also explained how the pair will be affected by the stripping of their royal titles.

Meghan Markle keen to meet King Charles as soon as possible

The tipster revealed, “For Harry, such a loss would be devastating – and for Meghan, it would mean more humiliation, plus damage to her brand and money-making potential.”

“The mounting pressure is weighing heavily on her, causing her immense distress. She wants to meet with the king and get some assurances from him that she and Harry will be able to keep their titles after he dies,” the source added.

Meghan and Harry left the UK for a financial independent life in the US in 2020. Their stepping down was infamously dubbed as Megxit, which eventually saw many controversies and allegations.

Prince Harry’s charity controversy adds more burden on him and Meghan

The most recent controversy the couple faced was after Sentebale charity, founded by Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006 to help children in Southern Africa, faced bullying and racism accusations, as per The Sun.

Meghan was also accused of not “liking” Dr Sophie Chandauka, the Sentebale charity boss.

It ended up in the 40-year-old prince and Seeiso resigning from their positions.

In a statement, they said, “It is devastating that the relationship between the charity’s trustees and the chair of the board broke down beyond repair, creating an untenable situation.”
