Former Royal staffer Paul Burrell shared his firm belief that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are in it for the long haul. The one-time aide to Princess Diana remarks that the couple’s union is cemented by “a common goal to make themselves as rich as possible”.
He suggests they’ve found a “balance” that benefits both their relationship and evolving brand identity. Married since their 2018 nuptials at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel, they initially relied on funds from King Charles, which comprised 95 percent of their income.
Since stepping back from frontline Royal duties in January 2020 and relocating stateside, Harry and Meghan launched Archewell, their charitable venture, and inked hefty contracts with Netflix and Spotify.
Meghan’s foray into enterprising focuses on her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard—renamed As Ever—which peddles goods including jam, tea blends, “cookie mixes”, and floral garnishes. Burrell contends that divorce would mean losing substantial financial prospects for the pair.

Speaking to the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential segment, Paul insisted: “Despite pressures on their marriage and lifestyle, I personally think there are no signs of divorce because Harry would lose too much.”, reports the Mirror.
He elaborated: “Meghan and Harry have a common goal to make themselves as rich as possible in as short a time as possible. I think that balance works together for the sake of their brand, their marriage.”
Meghan revealed the prices for her chic lifestyle brand this week, hitting us with wildflower honey accompanied by honeycomb at $28 and raspberry jam at a sweet $14, not to mention the $15 flower sprinkles.
The lineup also boasts shortbread and crepe mixes tagged at $14 each and soothing herbal tea blends sold for $12, which flew off virtual shelves in the US in just 30 minutes of their debut.
Describing the launch in her As Ever newsletter as a “pivotal moment” Meghan gushed over the product’s unique packaging, meant to double as adorable keepsake containers.
She penned: “Of course, you’ll find the raspberry spread that started it all presented in keepsake packaging that you can repurpose to tuck away love notes or special treasures and to remember this pivotal moment with me. Think of it as our time capsule.”

Adding a dose of inspiration, she shared: “I hope when you see what I’ve worked so hard to create, you’re encouraged to know that whatever life brings, you can do it too.”
Paul, who loyally served Princess Diana from 1987 to 1997 and knew Harry and Prince William as boys, shed light on Meghan’s luxe-brand journey last month, hinting at challenges ahead. Speaking to Prime Casino, he remarked: “It’s the Meghan Show. And this is a tough area to compete in, in America, because America is filled with the best hosts you can possibly have.”
He continued doubtfully: “Whether she’s good enough or not, the public will judge her. We’re waiting to see what she’s got and whether she can pull it out of the bag.”
He added: “People may warm to her,
“However, the royals are on a safe ship in calm waters, whereas Harry and Meghan have been in choppy seas for quite some time and you can’t actually continue that. You can’t. Something has to give.”
Referring to her upcoming Netflix lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, Paul said: “I’m eager to watch it and to see what she’s going to produce. I’m not so sure I want to buy her jam, but I think it’s going to be interesting to watch. Meghan will have to reveal her hand in this game of poker because Harry’s already revealed his. We haven’t yet seen Meghan’s.”
