Patrick Mahomes also used the week to give back to Kansas City’s youth through a literacy rally

Patrick Mahomes might be the star of the Kansas City Chiefs, but in the NFL offseason, his priority is clearly being a devoted father.
This week, the Super Bowl champion quarterback made time for his kids, bringing his daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III to a magical Disney on Ice show.
Brittany Mahomes, known for giving fans a glimpse into their family life, shared a moment from the outing on her Instagram story, writing, “Disney on Ice yesterday, and Bronze had the best seat in the house.”
The couple’s youngest, Golden Raye, who was born during last season’s Wild Card round, was not present at the event, as the Mahomes family has chosen to keep her out of the public eye since her birth.

Off the field and into the community
While the Mahomes family strives to maintain a sense of normalcy despite their celebrity status, Patrick has also been dedicating time to supporting the Kansas City community.
On Monday, the quarterback participated in the “Read for 15” rally at the T-Mobile Center, an event organized in partnership with his foundation, 15 and the Mahomies, alongside Lead to Read KC and Kiewit construction company.
Brittany shared her pride on social media before the event, posting, “My guy doing amazing things.”
With approximately 3,000 elementary school students in attendance, Mahomes took the spotlight to read We’re All Weird by Kansas City native Kristen Heath—a book he counts among his favorites.
“Reading is part of every area of life,” Mahomes told the young crowd. “No matter what your dream is, you have to stay patient.
“Just like being a quarterback, you won’t always succeed right away… you might not learn as quickly as you’d like. But if you keep putting in the effort, you’ll achieve your biggest dreams.”
The event highlighted his dedication to youth education while showcasing his broader impact outside of football.
Beyond his athletic career, Mahomes is deeply invested in Kansas City, holding ownership stakes in several local teams, including the MLB’s Royals, MLS’s Sporting KC, and the NWSL’s Current, in addition to his charitable efforts through 15 and the Mahomies.
Whether he’s inspiring thousands of students through reading or sharing heartfelt moments with his children at Disney on Ice, Mahomes proves time and again that his influence extends far beyond the football field.
