In arecent report from Collider, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ producer Jerry Bruckheimer stated that the previously discussed new idea to continue the franchise starring Margot Robbie hasn’t been fully fleshed yet. However, there is an idea to still make films with women protagonists. The plan is still to consider having a movie filled with female leads, which has been even more accentuated by the rumor of Disney considering ‘The Bear’ actress Ayo Edibri as the female lead. Elon Musk was quick to jump without thinking about the consequences. He has been on a very public spat with Disney after the company pulled their advertising alongside other industry giants over Musk’s own political views.

All Elon had to do was retweet the rumor with the following caption: “Disney sucks.” And the internet wen’t wild over what seemed like a racist and sexist comment without even thinking about it. Until now, Musk hasn’t taken back any of his reactions on the matter but people are also starting to point out the awkwardness of the entire situation. Apart from his apparent attack against the actress, Musk is also defending the same man who was involved in a controversial love triangle. Johnny Depp was married with Amber Heard when the actress was cheating on him with Elon Musk, and there is not much to say against that. Plus, Elon Musk didn’t even check if the news was true or not. Right now, it is nothing more than a rumor and maybe even a telephone game.
As far as the reports have stated from Collider, the only one being considered thus far is Margot Robbie. But that is not the point, regardless of what’s true and what’s not. Actress Ayo Edebiri also hasn’t said anything about the very public situation that only keeps evolving on the X platform. Regardless of what Elon Musk’s thinks, we are talking about an Emmy-winning actress who has proven herself enough to be considered for this film franchise. This isn’t a matter of inclusion from Disney, it seems more like a matter of talent. And also, the latest example of how unchecked for fake news this X platform has become under Elon Musk’s watch.
