One major cliffhanger in the Virgin River season six finale has left fans scratching their heads as they speculate over Mike’s true intentions and how he found out about Brie and Brady.

Virgin River enthusiasts remain baffled by the seismic cliffhanger in the finale of the latest series.

In the last instalment, titled The Big Day, Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and her beau Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) managed to say ‘I do’ in true Virgin River style, with the expected dose of drama on their special day.

Shockingly, Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) is nowhere to be seen, sparking fears for her well-being, while Brie (Zibby Allen) and Brady’s (Benjamin Hollingsworth) story takes an unexpected turn.

Brady was dealt a cruel blow when he discovered his new flame Lark (Elise Gatien) was a con artist all along. After overhearing Brady confess undying love to Brie, Lark vanishes from the wedding festivities with his funds.

Simultaneously, Brie’s current flame Mike (Marco Grazzini) decides it’s the perfect time to get engaged, despite his suspicious awareness of her recent tryst with Brady, reports the Express.

Amidst the dropped jaws following these revelations, fans are still puzzling over just how Mike came into this knowledge.

A perplexed fan recently posed the question on Reddit: “How did Mike know??”

They elaborated on their apprehension, stating: “Out of all the finale cliffhangers, this one bothers me the most.

“How did Mike know about Brie/Brady and for how long? I doubt Brady told him.”

They further hypothesised: “Maybe Kaia (Kandyse McClure)? Or maybe he picked up on the tension?

“I think that’s why he wants to lock her down asap. The whole thing is a mess.”

Season seven of Virgin River is set to present Mel and Jack with a host of challenges, not least the prospect of parenting Marley’s (Rachel Drance) child, and perhaps even taking care of Charmaine’s twins under dire circumstances.
