Rapper Joe Budden calls Eminem outright trash and states: ‘I’ve been better than you throughout this decade

Joe Budden has responded to two disses Eminem made about him on his new album ‘Kamikaze‘.

The rapper-turned-broadcaster was previously a member of hip-hop group Slaughterhouse with Royce da 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I, as well as performing as a solo artist. He hasn’t released any music since 2016’s ‘Rage & The Machine‘ album and announced he had retired from music earlier this year.

Last year, Budden described Eminem’s song ‘Untouchable’ as “trash”, adding it was “one of the worst songs [he’d] ever heard.” When Eminem released ‘Kamikaze’ last week (August 31), he called out Budden on two tracks.

On ‘The Ringer’, he rapped: “I’m sorry, wait, what’s your talent? Oh, critiquin’ / My talent? Oh, bitch, I don’t know who the fuck y’all are.” Later, on ‘Fall’, he added: “Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it/Or have his body baggage zipped/The closest thing he’s had to hits is smacking bitches.”

Budden has now responded on his podcast, directly addressing the Detroit rapper in the latest episode. “I heard the album and because I don’t think you know all the members that were in the group, I don’t really think you know our history,” he said. “Let me tell you what Joe Budden has thought this entire time. I’ve been better than you this entire fucking decade!”

He continued: “In my rapper brain, I’m a content n***a. You gotta say something! You have not said anything for the better part of a whole fucking decade! You have rhymed a bunch of words.”

Budden also warned Eminem that he “live[s] for this type of shit.” “All of that rappity-rap, lyrical miracle bullshit, any n***a that want it like that, that think they want it with me?” he said. “I don’t think you would fare well.”

He hinted that he could also come out of retirement to respond to the star in musical form, saying: “I think it’s really corny when retired n***as pop shit about what they coulda, shoulda, woulda done. So, I feel like I’m in control of the rules here, Em. I’m backed now. You’re not so much.”

Machine Gun Kelly, who is also one of Eminem’s targets on ‘Kamikaze’, has already responded to the record with a diss track called ‘Rap Devil’. Eminem called him out on the track ‘Not Alike’ over comments Kelly made about his daughter Hailie in 2012.
