Prince Harry, 40, gifted the timepiece to his wife shortly after their marriage

Meghan Markle donned Princess Diana’s jewellery on her latest outing without Prince Harry.

The 43-year-old made an appearance at youth organisation Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara earlier this month.

The American non-profit organisation which encourages girls to be “Strong, Smart, and Bold”, has partnered with #HalfTheStory, a non-profit dedicated to improving the next generation’s relationship with technology.

For the visit, Meghan wore her Cartier Tank Française gold watch that was a gift from the late Diana, Princess of Wales’s personal collection.

On formal occasions, Princess Diana would wear her gold Cartier Tank Française watch, which her sons inherited after her death.

Prince Harry, 40, later gave the timepiece to his wife, Meghan, who has placed a clear significance on the accessory.

Meghan paired her watch with a J.Crew shirt, which has subsequently sold out.

She also wore a Ralph Lauren brown belt which has been in her wardrobe for many years.

For footwear, the Duchess of Sussex opted for her £545 brown suede pumps from Manolo Blahnik.

During the Duchess of Sussex’s outing, she told young girls that she was “one of the most bullied people in the world”.

She also talked about a new “digital wellness” programme co-funded by the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation.

While talking about online bullying, the young children used emojis to describe how different online scenarios would impact them emotionally.

The outing marked the second time Meghan made an official appearance without her husband since her visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles gala on October 5.

Royal commentators have claimed the couple are “going their own ways” as they live increasingly “separate lives”.

Prince Harry’s recent trips abroad was thought to be part of a new plan that will see the couple doing more events separately, a friend claimed recently.

The Sussexes will still do joint engagements, but will also be seen in public alone as they pursue their own passions.
