While Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is preparing her newest takeover, many are confused as to what will be coming from her. First, we all thought it was a variety of exclusive jams that rival the royal family’s, then a cooking show, then a podcast, and now, it seems Meghan will first be releasing wine?

While the cooking show and podcast are underway, it seems that Meghan’s first release for her brand American Riviera Orchard will be rosé wine; something many celebrities have entered. And when she dives into this business, insiders claim that it’ll have her step on some toes, including one of her pals and neighbors, Cameron Diaz.

Insiders told Life and Style Magazine, “She knows the wine market is lucrative,” says the insider of Meghan’s latest project. “It’s looking like a total cash grab.”

“Meghan is stepping on some toes,” they said, noting how Diaz is in the same business with her brand Avaline. “It’s pretty brazen that she’s moving in on her territory. Meghan doesn’t seem to care that she’s competing with a friend.”

Other stars who’ve made this business move as well include Jon Bon Jovi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brad Pitt, Snoop Dogg, and more.

“She and Harry aren’t steadily making the kind of money they need to continue their lavish lifestyle. Their future depends on her success. Meghan absolutely feels like it’s sink or swim time,” the insider added.

Now the news of Meghan’s rosé first came to light in June 2024, when sources told DailyMail that she’ll release wine and “It’s expected that other products in the initial tranche of releases will be drinking and serving ware, bar essentials and other products, related to hosting and entertaining. We can expect items in classic, but expensive, style.”

(While Meghan’s old blog The Tig was named after the Tiganello, an Italian red wine she loves. But she’s doing rosé because it was reportedly her drink of choice during her first date with Prince Harry.)

And for those wondering, “Since when were Diaz and Meghan pals?” We got you.Not much is known about their friendship except for the fact that they were photographed together on a double date back in the spring of 2023, per Hello, and even used Diaz’s private jet at one point, according to Marie Claire. Along with that, they are neighbors in Montecito!
