Vivian Jenna Wilson—the 20-year-old daughter of Elon Musk and his ex-wife Justine Musk—left the United States to move to Japan and study languages in school.
Elon Musk‘s estranged daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson has said sayonara to the United States.
The 20-year-old—whose mom is the billionaire tech mogul’s first wife Justine Wilson—relocated from the U.S. to Tokyo to study languages. And though her dad had nothing to do with her decision to move, she said the “wealth gap” she witnessed while living in Los Angeles played heavily into her current world views.
“There is no world in which people should be owning multiple private planes, private islands, private whatever, while other people are sleeping on the street,” Vivian told Teen Vogue in an interview published March 20. “I believe that wealth inequality is one of the biggest problems of the United States right now, especially of our generation.”
She continued, “I feel like workers should be fairly compensated for the work that they do, and I don’t feel like wealth should be hoarded by these mega-billionaires who are the top 1 percent, who only have their own interests at heart. I’ve met some of these billionaires—they’re not very good people.”
And Vivian considers Elon, who she said she hasn’t spoken to since 2020, to be one of those billionaires. As she bluntly put it, “He’s a pathetic man-child.”
“Why should I be scared of this man? Because he’s rich?” she said. “I don’t give a f–k how much money anyone has.”
For the outspoken trans advocate, the “only thing that gets to live free in my mind are drag queens.”
“I’ll see things about him in the news and think, ‘That’s f–king cringe,” Vivian added of her dad. “It’s annoying that people associate me with him. I just don’t have any room to care anymore.”
That’s also probably why Vivian admittedly does “not actually know” how many siblings she has.
“I found out about the Shivon Zilis thing the same time everyone else did,” she explained, referencing the venture capitalist who shares four young kids with Elon. “I found out about Grimes having a second child because a drag queen posted about it on Reddit.”
Vivian added, “I don’t keep up with that side of the family.”
E! News has reached out to Elon’s rep for comment but hasn’t heard back.
