Their most recent acclaim saw their production services company bring to sunny South Africa one of the biggest features of our country, being the sequel to ‘My Spy’, starring Dave Bautista and Chloe Coleman.

South African producers, Damien Brown and Terona Kannigan are redefining the local film industry.

South African producers, Damien Brown and Terona Kannigan are celebrating the success of their first foray into Hollywood film-making after ‘My Spy: Eternal City’ aired on Amazon Prime, last week.

Formerly hailing from Lenasia South and now residing in the Western Cape, Kannigan is a force to be reckoned with. Kannigan is currently serving as the financial director of NV Film Services. However, her academic pursuits have not stopped her from broadening her horizons in the Hollywood movie industry.

Joining forces with Brown, the visionary behind NV Film Services, the duo has catapulted South Africa into the international arena with the company’s latest venture.
Both producers are experienced with the international markets, having produced content for various channels such as ITV, MTV and FOX, to name a few.

Their most recent acclaim saw their production services company bring to sunny South Africa one of the biggest features of our country, being the sequel to ‘My Spy’, starring Dave Bautista and Chloe Coleman.

The excitement of producing a feature of this magnitude cascaded through the crews and vendors of the local film and television market, but it remained a priority of the service company to maintain cohesion between the US market and the local government.

Spearheaded by Kannigan, everyone worked tirelessly to secure approval from the Department of Trade and Industry, in support of Foreign Film Incentives. At a time of economic volatility and political uncertainty, it is an absolute accolade for South Africa and more so for Lenasia- home to local talent.
