Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and former star of Suits, is reportedly eager to guest star on a podcast about the show.

Her on-screen partner, Patrick J. Adams, revealed on TODAY that Meghan responded positively to the idea: “When we first decided to do the podcast, we wanted to reach out to everybody to say what our intentions were, why we were doing it, what we were not interested in doing [which was] gossiping or telling anyone else’s story.”

Patrick also mentioned Meghan’s supportive response: “Meghan was one of the first to respond with a lovely text message, saying that she’d love to come and help in any way possible.”

However, Adams wants to establish the podcast before bringing on more guests, stating, “I think the onus is on us to build a podcast that is good and successful [that] people are listening to and find our rhythm. Then we’re gonna bring people onto it so they feel safe to tell their story.”

He acknowledged earlier this year that Meghan is leading a very different life, and their communication has been infrequent, sharing on Reddit, “We are not really in touch. She leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons.”

“[But] upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in anyway.”

“It is so lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart.”
