A major star of Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris has announced she is leaving the show after five years, and won’t be returning for the fifth and final season.
Camille Razat, who portrays Camille on the series, took to Instagram to announce her departure. She shared a series of touching throwback photos from the set, thanking everyone and saying goodbye to the character she’s cherished.
The 31-year-old teased fans about her next chapter, which includes roles in two new series and the creation of her own production company, Tazar Production, reports the Mirror.
“After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris,” she began. “It has been a truly wonderful experience, one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

“I’m deeply grateful to @starmandarren and the entire team at @netflix and @paramountpics for their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of Emily In Paris world.”
She continued: “This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons. I’ve recently wrapped two series: Nero for Netflix and Les Disparues de la Gare for Disney+. I’m also excited to share that I’ve launched my own production company, @tazar_production.”
“We mainly produce music videos and short films for now, but we’re currently developing our first feature film, something I’m truly passionate about and excited to grow. I leave the show with nothing but love and admiration for the cast, crew, and fans who have supported us along the way. Thank you for the beautiful ride.”

Fans of the show have been left gutted by the news, but many felt Camille’s character had been “destroyed”.
“They destroyed Camille’s character, she was beautiful and independent! It was Emily who stole Gabriel,” one fan fumed, as another shared: “Oh noo, Camille was my fav character! I will miss her and her outfits.”
“Camille’s character had a lot of potential but it got ruined by that boring story of pretending to be pregnant. Hope you have a great journey with your new roles,” penned another series fan.
In other news, Lucas Bravo, known for his role as Gabriel in Emily in Paris, has teased that season five is going to be “the best” yet.
Ever since his 2020 debut on the wildly popular Netflix series, Lucas has captivated viewers, and he promises that the new instalment will sweep fans off their feet all over again.
Dishing details to Parade, Lucas confirmed: “We’re starting filming in May. I think it’s the best season so far.”
