The Heart-Wrenching Journey That Led Love Is Blind’s Lauren and Cameron to Baby Ezra—And the Tear-Jerking Sign from Heaven That Sealed His Name!

Love Is Blind alums Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton are officially parents.

The pair shared the update via Instagram on Monday, October 20.

“To God be the GLORY! 🙌🏾🩵 Our son, Ezra William Hamilton, made his debut October 1st ,a little earlier than planned, but perfectly on God’s time,” they wrote in a joint post. “After an unexpected turn with preeclampsia and a few days in the hospital, we’ve been taking it slow… healing, resting, and soaking up all the love. 💛.”

The couple also shared a carousel of images showing the family of three. In one photo, a smiling Lauren, 37, can be seen nestled with baby Ezra in bed. Another photo features the sentence, “Ezra William Hamilton will be born healthy and strong in 2025,” written over and over again in what appears to be a journal.

Lauren and Cameron, 35, who hit it off on during Love Is Blind’s first season, confirmed they were expecting their first baby in May 2025. “We were counting down the day till we could test because we did IVF,” Cameron told People in a May interview, announcing that his wife, Lauren, was pregnant with their first child.

“We knew, OK, this is the day that we’re going to do the test. Of course, we’re going in for a blood test later that day, but we couldn’t wait any longer.” he continued. “We did the classic test and we both went into the bathroom to look at the Clearblue test and it was face down. We flipped it over. We saw the word pregnant, and that was just a huge moment to actually see the word pregnant on a test.”

“Seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing,” Lauren also told People. “We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried. It’s been a long time coming. We’ve literally been trying to get pregnant for four years.”

Following their nuptials in February 2020, the couple told Us Weekly exclusively in that married life was going “great.”

“I mean, I’ve been single for a long time, OK? And I’m gonna tell you, it’s kind of better with a partner,” Lauren shared.

Lauren — who met her husband on the Netflix dating show and got married on day 40 of the experiment (which actually filmed in 2018) — had a few things to learn after becoming a wife.

“It took me a while to get used to that. Like, I’m so independent, I like doing stuff on my own, and Cameron’s like, ‘Let me help you.’ So I’ve been loving it,” she told Us in March 2020. “It’s good to have a partner. It’s good.”

Cameron echoed his wife’s sentiment, saying, “She’s still independent and runs her own business and everything. I just want to be there for support when she needs it. I mean we all need help.”

The duo also hinted at their baby plans in April 2021. “We definitely are starting our family planning. I’m not pregnant, let me preface by saying, however, we do have a little fur baby. His name is Spark,” Lauren shared exclusively with Us at the time. “So, he’s our child for now and our work is our child.”

They again teased the prospect of pregnancy on their third wedding anniversary in November 2021. “A love story I could have only dreamed of … not perfect but perfect for me! ❤️” Lauren wrote via Instagram at the time. “Cheers to 3 years of Love, marriage and happiness 😘💍❤️ Us against the world forever 👩🏾‍❤️‍👨🏻 Happy anniversary baby! #BonnieAndClydeMinusTheShootup now let’s have some babiessssss 😜.”

In their June 2021 book, Leap of Faith, Cameron revealed that soon after he met his then-fiancée’s parents, the discussion of race and raising children came up.

“We all started talking about the prejudice that exists in the world today and what that might mean for our family moving forward,” the former reality star wrote, adding that his mother said she was concerned about the possible bad treatment her grandchildren might experience due to their race.

In response, Cameron said that he found it’s “ultimately a blessing to have children, even if they have to face certain hardships, even if they’re discriminated against,” and that he and his wife would provide as much love and support as they can.
