An official cause of death has been revealed following the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
The wrestling icon made his terrestrial exit at the age of 71 last Thursday in a shocking turn of events, having recently undergone neck surgery.
According to Page Six, which cites records from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, the former WWE superstar died as a result of acute myocardial infarction, commonly referred to as a heart attack.
Medical records say Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, had a history of atrial fibrillation, which causes an irregular heartbeat. He was also diagnosed with a form of cancer known as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The details regarding the latter are unknown.

TMZ Sports broke the news of The Hulker’s death last Thursday after he was rushed to the hospital on the morning of, following a 911 call made noting he had suffered cardiac arrest at his residence in Clearwater, Florida.
He was pronounced dead despite the best efforts of paramedics and doctors.
Hulk’s wife, Sky Daily, claimed his heart was “strong” a few weeks ago, also denying rumors claiming he was in a coma. The 12-time world champion had undergone multiple surgeries in recent times and claimed to have gone under the knife at least 25 times in the last 10 years.
He was honored on the most recent episodes of SmackDown and Raw, with his son Nick in attendance for the latter this Monday.
While his death has prompted worldwide mourning, many refuse to sympathize due to the infamous leaked audio in which he was heard using racial slurs, as well as several other moral concerns.
