The “Late Show” host said he’ll do this until his show ends in May.

“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert brought back his “Escalator Investigator” character for a second day as President Donald Trump continued to complain about an escalator at the United Nations.
“Ever since Trump got back into office, he’s been waging a campaign of vengeance against his enemies, who he believes have been trying to take him down,” Colbert said. “Now, he’s focused all of his rage on the one foe who refused to take him up, and that is the U.N. escalator.”
The escalator stopped suddenly when Trump and first lady Melania Trump reached it on Tuesday.
“Nobody was hurt,” Colbert pointed out. “They walked up the stopped escalator, sometimes known as stairs, but Trump just will not let it go.”

Trump demanded an investigation and even arrests over the incident, although the U.N. said the escalator was stopped accidentally by a member of Trump’s own entourage.
Colbert liked the video of Trump stopped on the escalator so much that he not only showed it again, but promised to keep doing so.

“I’m so glad neither of those two people were injured,” he said. “Because I will enjoy showing that footage every night until May.”
Colbert’s show has been canceled, with the final episode airing in May.
