Luke Bryan Pictured ‘Working a Shift’ at Beloved Fast Food Chain

Luke Bryan picked up a shift at a Raising Cane’s in Nashville, Tenn., and we have the photos to prove it.

On Tuesday, April 8, the 48-year-old country artist joined the fan-favorite chicken chain’s owner and founder, Todd Graves, at a restaurant in Music City (where Bryan also owns a bar) for a special, feel-good reason.

In addition to co-hosting American Idol, owning a live music bar, crooning country tunes and parenting five kids, Bryan is also an integral part of The Brett Boyer Foundation, a charity that aims to fund research and improve outcomes for those diagnosed with congenital heart defect (CHD), according to its website. Bryan co-founded the organization with his wife, Caroline, and her brother and sister-in-law, Ellen and Bo, in loving memory of Ellen and Bo’s first child, Sadie Brett Boyer.

And recently, the Raising Cane’s founder made a massive $1,000,000 donation to the charity, giving Bryan a reason “to celebrate” and show up for a day on the job–or at least, a few hours.

The “Play It Again” crooner was pictured taking and delivering orders to lucky customers at the drive-thru and working the register inside the store.

Bryan even donned the uniform–a blue branded shirt, black baseball cap and jeans–while passing out drinks and punching in orders.

What looked like a busy day at work for Bryan was simply the least he could do, with the artist gushing over the charitable move in a statement.

“The Brett Boyer Foundation is a family charity and I’ve watched this Foundation grow over the years from the support of people like Todd. CHD doesn’t get talked about enough and the fact that Brett’s name lives on and is doing so much good for kids who need it helps us make sure no kid ever receives a diagnosis like Brett’s again,” Bryan said. “We know 36 kids who are alive today because of The Brett Boyer Foundation and we want to see that number grow to thousands in the future.”

“We’re so thankful to Todd and Raising Cane’s for such a generous donation,” he concluded.
